Crown

High Street
Merthyr Tydfil
Mid Glamorgan
CF47 8DP

The Crown is situated in the welsh valley of Merthyr Tydfil which has a population of about 30,000. Local attractions to the area are Cyfarthfa Castle, Brecon Mountain Railway and the Brecon Beacons National Park. This property is the towns oldest pub dating back to 1785 and is located in Merthyr’s new cafe quarter on the busy high street with the main town centre car park located at the rear of the property. All the main shops are on this high street and the pub has a town centre feel that serves the local shoppers during the day. During the evening and the weekend it becomes part of the circuit and becomes very busy especially on Friday and Saturday night. The Crown was refurbished in 2005 and has a large kitchen that serves during the day and can cater for 40+ covers. We are looking for an enthusiastic operator who can offer a town centre tavern with food during the day and at night transfer it into a destination circuit pub.
